The government cut the funding for research and education, so students and university staff were protesting for proper financing in March 2023 with around 2000 persons starting from Uni Wien and finishing at TU Wien with speeches from NUWiss spokespersons and Stefan Ohrhallinger.
At another protest, on 4.12.2023, Stefan Ohrhallinger and Philipp Erler presented a short theater piece about the conditions for PhD students at TU Wien.
